'Drink a Rainbow' is a project to educate children and parents about the benefits of fresh fruit & vegetable juices. The format for this project is single day events in schools where the children can discover the tastes of a variety of produce, by making and drinking a range of fresh juice mixes. The day long event culminates with the 'Drink a Rainbow Market' where parents and staff are encouraged to taste the juices and learn about the nutritional benefits that the children have explored during the day.

Mission:

  • To educate about the nutritional benefits of drinking fresh fruit & vegetable juice.
  • To challenge negative preconceptions of fresh fruit & vegetables and help children and parents realise that they are a fun and tasty alternative to chocolate bars and crisps.
  • To introduce a range of known and unknown ingredients to the children.
  • To provide a cross-curricular project day in health and nutritional education.

It is very important to us that our company includes a strong element of education. We know that children are the best learners and of course the future lies with them. While we can teach them about the wonders of fresh fruit & veg, they can inspire us to come up with new recipes, ideas and ways of understanding how we need to develop.

There will be case studies, feedback from schools, press releases and comments from the most important people - the children and their parents - available on this page very soon.
